Hi everyone,
is it there someone with a Mac, who can test my website.
A friend of mine, using Safari on Mac, told me he can't open my full-flash website.
Actually, also another one, got troubles. She uses IE7 on a laptop, with a Vodafone Internet Key (7MB). She gets the full preload, but then everything stops and doesn't show the rest. The only difference with everyone alse telling me it's ok, is that holy Internet Key. I don't see any other reason to act differnt, but it's not even a good reason to stop after loading.
Was I clear?
I thought it was perfect. I'm really pissed.
Can someone tell me what's wrong?
Thanks.

first thing:
} else { // flash is too old or we can't detect the plugin
var alternateContent = 'http://www.desperatehousecat.it/alternate.asp>';
document.write(alternateContent); // insert non-flash content
}
} else { // flash is too old or we can't detect the plugin
var alternateContent = 'http://www.desperatehousecat.it/alternate.asp';
document.write(alternateContent); // insert non-flash content
}
and the answer is:
your friends needs to update there flash player to version 9(which I am having the same issues... "the player does not update correctly on Power PC Macs"), but it works fine in other browsers.
Use SWFaddress! Also I replied in your other thread regarding your PM

Thank you for the answer.
That little > made all this mess?
It's because everyone else had the latest version and they don't? It's just a coincidence that they are both on Mac?
Can you, please, tell me if I can check or see somehow the detection? Event the noscript. I really would not disinstall my player, because the last time it led to a disaster and I spent 50€ to repair. I don't know why it happend, but I would avoid that experience.
That's exactely why I wanted to check. You know, to see if things work as I suppose they should...

Thank you so much.
You saved my friday night... I will be able to sleep tonight (well, if I fix it).
And I'm sorry again about the PM. I'll never do that again. I swear.
I'll check everything you said. And maybe I'll even bother atomic, as you said. But I hope to be able to do that all alone.
Thanks again everyone!!! You made me happy.
Love you all guys!!!
Thanks!!!!!!

I see everything fine with PC, XP, IE7 and FF too. And everyone else in the same condition see it fine.
My Mac user friends couldn't open it. They both are on iMac, OSX, Safari. And they just told me thy couldn't open it. By email.
It's friday night, none's home to test again and tell me more.
But I guess that if they don't have the right player and couldn't get to the "alternate.asp", that was the problem... I hope so... I won't know until tomorrow afternoon at least.
