am making a game in which I want to move 1 movielclip(which is say 20Kg) with the help of another(say 5kg) using a string attached to them..but the problem is when i release the mouse button over small mc it still moves n not like actual weighted mc should move...
and also at same time the bullets firing from 4 corners which i want them to shoot in random directions(which isn't a current scenario).. when the bullets hit with the movielclip it should move lil' bit( in my case its moving but hitTest is true)
please help with this..am attaching the .fla for reference

at least tell me how can I pull the bigger mc with the help of smaller mc..(giving the real effect)

Okay, here's some help. You'll need rigid body dynamics to do this as far as I know. You need to give more detail on what you want, or else we who do not have flash on the current computer can't help at all. (Even if I opened the file I doubt I would get much further, no offense.)
Here's a link to some formulas you could try out: Wikipedia article. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rigid_body_dynamics)

truely speaking, i dont quite understand what you want to achieve exactly....please explain with a bit more detail, on what you want to happen, and what is happening at the moment precisely.

it seems like he's trying to do the whole ball and cup type of physics. If you pull one or the other, the other will follow based on the physics of a string, for instance, if you pull one object up, the string tightens then the other follows, or if you sway it side to side it's like a swing.

ah...well physics simulation like that is not very easy... as far as i remember there were some physics api for stuff like this, you should use those. otherwise...you have a long study ahead of ya....

what you guys said is quiet rite... its related to physics..did u check the .fla? what scarce is said that the ball movement w.r.t. the string attached to it..so thats what I want to do.. can you guyz help with this?

This is a complex problem & you're asking too much, no-one is going to spend several hours (probably much more) writing code for you for free.
My apologies if this sounds blunt, but unless you have a very solid understanding of physics or advanced level maths then this sort of effect is going to be beyond your reach.
