$400 in it for whoever can do this by tomorrow

I've made this demo for a client and it is getting way too large. Currently I have about 50 movieclips sequentially lined up on the timeline with a forward and back button to navigate.

In the past this was fine, but now the .fla is getting way too large (75mg) and take forever to publish. They also want to add sound to each clip, so you can see why this is getting out of hand.

Can someone help me convert it so one master file just uses actionscript to just call each movieclip and it's sound file externally?

All 50 movieclips are on this file, I haven't striped them out individually yet.

Probably just a matter of making your assets (voiceover, images etc..) external and only loaded when needed etc.... I am confident atomic will set you straight in no time, unless your file is a mess ;-).

worst case by midday is doable, but if you get it done today it's an extra $100 :)

I've just lost 10 minutes waiting for it to publish, and it's not over yet!

Seems to be only 4 sound files... What about the rest?

Is this to be online, or just local projector file?

Yea that thing is hell to publish. I'm waiting on the rest of the sound files from the client, but those 3, you can use as a sample.

It'll be local for now, but might be available online in the future.

You can probably see that I have no idea how to control the sound on the .fla

Well if it's to be online in the future, and a relative tight sync between video and audio is important (BTW, are you sure the next vo's will match your video animations?), then you shouldn't be using event sounds but ones with their Sync set to 'stream'...

Will you get those sounds before the end of the day? And are you available all evening?

One other thing... When viewing your online demo, I manage to easily trip your navigation, sounds would start over already playing sounds & things like that... So that may need some fixing also...

Last, I can say that I can probably manage it, since I've done something quite similar recently... But might bump on unforseen problems... You never know!

I'll be available all day. The client is sending the VOs piecemeal and they'll be sending a few more throughout the day, but not nearly all of the VOs. If how you set it up is fairly self explanitory I can place the new VOs in myself.

No preloaders & this is online... And haven't looked at the controls yet.
Thus, although the 4 external.swfs are not that heavy, there's a dead spot between clips on the initial download... After that, on a refresh or re-load, there's a small glitch between movies, which I'll fix right after posting...

But external .swfs are presently between 20KBs & 143KBs, and the interface is but 4KBs...

Should I go ahead?

Wow thats quite a cut in size - 9.2 mb to that, nice work atomic.

Don't get too excited... That only takes care of the first 4 clips... There are far more than that, and they're now separate external .swfs, not only 1.
