HELP with some actionscripting PLEASE!!!!!

Im putting togeather a site, and ive worked out how everything will work excpet for one problem:

I need to write some actionscript to tell the movie to wait until the current scene has finished before it goes to another scene and plays that, does that sound like rubbish to you?

heres my example
on level 0 is my main movie
on level 1 is my submovie with 4 scenes in it, each scene being an option in the subnav

When an option is clicked I want the submovie to tell the current scene to close( which means going to and playing label end) then once the end of the scene has been reached , goto another scene...
I hope that makes sense...

Please can someone help me out...

If I understand you correctly your navigation is on level 1?

At any rate you can set a variable and use that to tell level1 where to go;

on(release){
level0.next="labalname";
level0.gotoAndPlay.("fadeout");
}

and in a keyframe at the end of 'fadeout';

level1.gotoAndPlay(next);

or if your nav. is on level0;

_root.next="labelname";
