View Full Version : Text being truncated in external SWF in everything BUT Safari

Hello,
I'm loading an external SWF consisting of a paragraph of text and a picture into an SWF. The external SWF's have the text on a layer above the picture and have an extra return after the end of the text.

Making it more strange, this doesn't happen in Safari but does happen in IE and Firefox.

Oh, and it doesn't happen in the editor at all.

Here's the phenomenon:

Any ideas would be completely appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Exactly the same on all 3 browsers for me! No truncated text!
Are you on Mac?
Did you embed the font used?

Strange but the problem was the fonts not being embedded.

Thanks.

Okay, so the last problem was a fix I should have thought of. Here's something strange though.

When I go to hydrapak.com the animation that should be about 500px to a side is actually much larger. But when you go to www.hydrapak.com it's the right size.

Any ideas?

Maybe your browser stored a cache of the files that it just isn't willing to give up? On my browser it works fine, just like you said. I don't see why or how the animation would be mysteriously bigger on your computer, and I think as long as it works on your clients computer it's fine.
