" ™ " special character not showing up!

I have all the copy loaded in Flash (it works OK) from the database in ASP, but Im not showing the "™" in Flash from database. I have embedded ™ in the dynamic textfield and it didnt work. Is it the ASP I need to make it work?

Make sure the text is encoded UTF-8.

I have no clue where the problem lies, but I could offer a workaround...

you could make a special tag, like html, where whenever the swf detects something like <trademarked> in the data, it replaces it with the symbol. Yes, it is a workaround, but it would work. :P
