This is a beginners tutorial. CMS Author name: Paul Schoneveld

One question though... It seems that in the past authors used to add a short list of details in their summery [Time, Language, Skill level, Required Knowledge, etc.]. Should I still be doing that... it doesn't seem like we do that very much anymore.

Also, why is the tutorials section of this site SOO SLOW? It's like we have too many tutorials for the server to handle or something. But, that doesn't really make sense.

So, I believe it's ready to be published. I'm just waiting for approval.

I decided to add a small list of facts as my summery, since I kind of like that practice.

------------------Summery---------------------------

Difficulty: Easy
Time: 15 minutes
Expected knowledge: Understanding of events and basic animation using ActionScript 3.0

Description: I’m going to walk through the steps of making a preloader for your animation, game, or application in ActionScript 3. Making a preloader in AS3 is more difficult to figure out then it was in AS2, but the code itself is not any harder to understand.

Sorry for the delay.

Made some minor changes to the formatting of the code, but other than that, it looks really good.

The Summary with generalist information about the tutorial is a throwback to the old design. In the new design only Featured articles will show the summary but I'd suggest adding a blurb about the article. It needn't be in the old form with dificulty, etc.

The Tutorials section is causing us real grief at the moment but unfortunately we're not entirely sure why. We're still investigting but we believe the issue may be with the CMS so we're hurridly readying an upgraded version and plan to cut over in the next few weeks.

With that comes a new Author interface also, which is much improved, so watch this space.

Thanks for your contributions.
