DataGrid selected item text color

How do i change the text color of the currently selected Item in a datagrid and change it back once another item is selected? Looking at the livedocs, it states that the cellRenderer will always return null with a dataGrid. also, there seems to be functions to set styles for collumns but not rows.

Yeah, you can't set styles for rows with datagrid. It sucks.
What you're asking for, though seemingly it should be very simple, is basically impossible as far as I know. There may be other, better DataGrid-like components out there now, I know there were a few good ones for AS2 that did allow things like setting styles on individual rows and cells. Stupid Adobe couldn't have cut more corners on the Flash 9 components if they'd tried (hello: Remoting??) Anyway, this is what we're stuck with.
