I had a rather hard time figuring out how to play h.264 video in Flash. Naturally, turned out that somehow the mp4/mov files I was creating weren't just right, so wouldn't play (I used SUPER by eRightSoft, but since that didn't work, I resorted to Premiere, although I can't get mp4 files out of that, just mov files). Now I have a problem with the moov atom - it's at the end of the file and I cannot, for the world, bring it to the front, to make my files progressively-streamable. Bugger! I tried the QTIndexSwapper app (AIR), but that didn't seem to work with a mov file. So yeah, I still have to wait for the entire file to load before it can play.
Problem 2 - I have noticed that when I load a really short video file, it plays at a higher speed. Also, in long videos, if I play a part of the video, then pause, then move the time cursor back to the beginning, the file plays at a higher speed up to the point it had played previously. Files are h.264 .mov files, 31fps, the swf is also at 31fps (although I thought the video's fps had priority and this wouldn't matter). Any clues?
Thank you!
