how do you check in a web browser on a Mac what exact flash player plugin is installed?

and on a pc for that matter, if I right click the movie I see " about flashplayer6" but not the exact version of it.
Could someone point out to a not-so-computer-savvy person how to find out about your plugin?

that's not what I mean:
I just want to know what plugin my IE has installed. How do I find out about that?
