ok, i have once again been staring at my monitor too long... this is really easy.
in fact i did the in a file just yesterday and it worked perfectly... maybe you can see my mistake.

obj.createTextField("title",++counter,0,0,100,30);
obj.title.border=true;
obj.title.background=true;
obj.title.backgroundColor=0xf7aebd;
obj.title.selectable=false;

this is giving me a blank screen instead of a text box.

Worked for me. I cut and pasted with zero changes and it worked. Kind of an ugly pink color. If testing the browser make sure you have Flash Player 6.

Hallucination confirmed. Works for me too. And I kinda like that pink :rolleyes:

Heheh ScratUAD ... how do you know that he hasn't got a mask layer or setMask somewhere in his movie? :)

Those Scrat's sure have evolved ... one moment they're chasing acorns all over the Ice Age, the next they're flashing and know wether or not tg is having masks ... :)

ok, took a while to stop laughing...
been off relaxing this weekend. but yesterday, i started thinking about this whole thing, and thought i should just scrap the whole thing and try it again fresh... so once i'm done with my morning browse of the forums, i will copy and paste the above code and give er another whirl...
