Hi, I have read many Flash books over the years, sometimes learning a lot, and other times only finding a gem or two of new information. I was wondering what the "must have" today?

If you respond, please explain the reasoning behind your book choice.

thanks:p

You mean strictly Flash? or also things like Actionscript, OOP, application design?

Anything Flash. I need to read up on some new material. I know the tutes here are good, but I enjoy sitting reading lots of material and not having top stare at acomputer screen.

Two must have books IMHO are Essential Actionscript 3.0 by Colin Mook and Actionscript 3.0 Animation by Keith Peters.

The order of books isn't random, start with 1...

1. Essential Actionscript 3.0 by Colin Mook - very nice 'description' of Actionscript Language Reference. You just have to have this book ;)

Those aren't strictly flash books. All are about software engineering, so if you are interested in subject

2. Head First Object Oriented Analysis & Design - teach basics on analisys & design :] (head first series is one of the best series, because of its 'form' !! - download and check sample chapters from oreily)

3. Head First Design patterns

4. At the moment I am reading Code Complete 2 witch is very good book about best practices in software engineering. What to do, what not to do etc...
