Ok so here I go. So here is the problem. I am using AS3 with AIR to basically wrap an AS2 SWF. The AS2 SWF has nested SWF's that it uses for button icons. The Problem occurs when I load the AS2 SWF into AS3 using Loader, the Icons don't show up.

They got _lockroot = true in them, as well as the AS2 SWF.

AS2 swfs loaded into AS3 movies have this and many other issues. convert AS2 swf to AS3. that is the easier solution;
