Yo,

i need to make a very very simple drawing application in flash MX.

i just need some sort of idea where to start??

all i want to do is have a pencil brush & colour option .....

i have picked up a few tips on this site already, but could do with any more advice that is out there to help me get started..

i know a fair bit about flash, but i'm definately not at an advanced level yet...

anyway...

Red Penguin could make this in 2 minutes with his eyes closed ;)

nah this uses the drawing API which is MX only

I tried creating it with my eyes closed. Didn't get very far. This is what I got though:

hmmm yeah you definitely went wrong somewhere...try opening your eyes and double checking your code (don't for the the instance names as well!)

did I mention that that looks freakin' cool? :p

Is anyone else on a MAC having trouble downloading this? I just had to reinstall everything on mine so I think have some mime stuff to reset on my browser. Oi, I've been going through this all week! Resetting everything from scratch!

All that downloads is a file called attachement.php.

I'd also be wary of calling people who help out other people Daft. When you have your hat in hand that's a little rude.

Well, he posted the file...I don't know if he downloaded it. My PC downloads it fine. For some reason the mac isn't handling the PHP. I'll look around and see if I can find some other stuff to download.

yeah mac broswers say its a php file for some reason - its not though its a zip

just drag it on to stuffit expander and it will work fine
