Drawing and erasing!!

The thing i'm really interested in, is getting the scratching off effect on a lottery scratch card. I think it can be done in a similar way to creating a kind of drawing package which will allow the user to rub out what they have done. Apparently there is a tutorial on this in a book called Flash 5 Magic & Actionscript but i can't find the book.

The scratching effect would be almost the same as the eraser effect.

Hope someone can help.

if you go to http://www.harjdesign.co.uk you can see a similar effect.

go to the products section then click the contact button watch the orange image in the centre it starts to be rubbed out before it fades.

Its a bit crude i did it a while ago.
Its done using masks made with the pencil.

a bit of alterations could produce the effect you are looking for.
