Here at "Project Firefly," we're looking to hire "a few good devs." We're got an opening for two positions currently, one as a creative designer and the other a strong AS3 coder. Note: these positions are full-time, salaried careers in San Diego California. We're not a design firm, so as an employee you won't be developing applications for clients, but instead working with other like-minded Flash designers and developers to create a cutting-edge rich internet application with many sub-applications.

Developer:

* Must be fluent in AS3 and object-oriented best practices.

* Must be conscious of design. (Developers don't have to be designers, but must understand the difference between ugly and beautiful)

* Must be creative and willing to learn! We'll be using many new technologies to push the envelope on what's being done in Flash, so you can expect to learn a lot!

Description: As a developer you will be using and learning technologies such as SWFAddress, FlashDevelop, and may learn 3D engines such as Papervision, Away3D, and Alternativa. (No experience with any of the listed engines is necessary, though it would be beneficial) You will be working on the "middle-end," providing functionality behind the graphical user interface and hooking into the back-end technologies we'll be using.

Designer:

* Must have strong working knowledge of Actionscript 3.
* Must be able to design graphical interfaces targeting Flash in the Flash IDE, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, etc.
* Must have CREATIVITY!
* Must be willing to learn and explore the full potential of Flash.

Description: As a designer on our team, you'll be designing graphical user interfaces for the rich internet application itself and working with the other developers and designers on our team to connect the front-end to the middle and back-end. You'll be doing design-related coding, such as animation and possibly work with 3D engines. (It's not necessary that you know them, just that you're willing to learn!)

To apply, send off an email to tkassembled@gmail.com with your resume, portfolio, and salary history. We'll get back to you promptly after we look over your resume and portfolio.

We hope to hear from you soon!
