can't export to quicktime

So I've go a simple frame with a square on it and want to export to Quicktime movie. Then I get this error:
"Quicktime does not support Adobe Flash tracks beyond Flash version 5"

So I go to the publish settings and change the version to flash player 5 and try again. Then I get this error:
"Quicktime does not support Adobe Flash tracks beyond Flash version 5"

Setting it to flash player 1:
"Quicktime does not support Adobe Flash tracks beyond Flash version 5"

What gives? Why won't it export such a simple flash movie to quicktime .mov?

I've got the latest Quicktime 7.4 and Flash 8.

it's not flash, it's the quicktime version you have, maybe the quicktime website can help you.
