Creating a drag and drop game...

I'm not so sure this is "simple" but I don't know how to make it work correctly. I'm trying to create a really simple drag and drop learning activity (where pieces can be clicked and dragged). I would like students to be able to click and drag pieces to the target, have the piece lock in place if they select the right target or snap back to the original location if they select the wrong target. Something tells me this is not an easy task for a newbie.

So far I've successfully made a movie clip draggable, but it won't drop once clicked (a far cry from drop in correct place or snap back to start). :(

I've attached a screen shot of the code I've cobbled together so far. Any help or hints would be greatly appreciated.
