Help on Searching the forum...

Howdy... :)

Got a quick question... I am not that fond of the search capability in this forum... There are several occasions when I really get itch doing the search... For example, how would I do the search '[object]' from the forum???

"[object]"
actually searches 'object' which gives me 1500 something posts when actual '[object]' will probably give me whole lot less search results...
What about searching '/*'??? It gives me about 10000 results...

So, what I am asking is to see if there is any way I can actually search the exact words whether that contains some symbols or whatever... Any tips for me??? :)

i guess you can limit your search my just lookin' at one forum.
maybe "General" would be a good start or the "Newbie" section...

Hmm..I havent tested but I'm sure I have read this below the search input

Advanced query: Join words with AND, OR and NOT to control your search in more detail.
Add asterisks (*) to use wild cards in your search (*bullet* matches vBulletin etc.)

so try *[object]*

see if that will work, otherwise email Vbuletin :)
