Yes I am aware of who I am addressing, but I am just about to start working on CDROM projects after working in on flash sites and applications.
I have used director before but I came of age with scripting in flash. But my group is unsure if flash can handle authoring as well as director. I have also heard that Director 8.5 has trouble handling Flash MX content. I have heard that Macromedia is moving Director toward DVD authoring and Flash into CDROM development. Fact or rumor???

Can anybody help with my queries? It seems hard to find unbiased views and information on this subject. Has anybody seen any articles on this subject?

thanks

What exactly do you want to do?

And whats your target ?

The programs have different pros and cons, so depending on what you want to do, either one will be more suited.

Ofcourse, I like Flash better, but thats just because Director doesn't have movieClips. I like to be able to send for instance the background to a specific frame and something else to another frame with greater ease than the director solution ... on the other hand director 8.5 has 3d capabilities.(it's main attraction at the moment I guess)

So : see pom's post ...
