hello actionscript fans.. i'm a newbees i have alot to learn abuout flash..

actually, how can i play the avi file in the middle of the flash presentation.??

i have make a fla presentation file but suddenly my lect wants me to add a video file while playing the swf presentation file..

if it used button to play movie, then i know how to make it but since this is a presentation so there is no interactive with users. Just one straight presentation..

how can i settle that problems..??

Its nt a big issue....

Just import that .avi file into flash.

File >> import >> import video

use the embed video option and import tht video clip in a movie clip...

u can latter place that particular movie clip containing avi file on whatever frame u like...

it will wrk dude :)

Technically, you can't play an avi in flash. Doing the import function just converts it to an flv. What you may want to do is to convert the avi to an flv first, then import it. If you are using Flash CS3 and above, you should have Adobe Media Encoder. Use that to convert the file. That way, you have full control over the settings.

i dont' have cs3, i have flash 8, so i don't have the encoder, what else could i use to convert the file, theres no protection on it, it's from my camera, so, if you know any others that would be great thanks.
