How do i use a dynamic text using action script?

I really need to know how to use actionscript in co-ordination(im not sure that is the right word to use) with a dynamic text box... I want to display a.... i can't remember... something... i want to display the date according to the users computer time.. and i don't know how to do that using actionscript please help...
