Hey how's it going? I downloaded a template and it has a flash header and in that header there is a search feature. I want to be able to use that feature. I tried using coffee cup and it indexed the site but it also generated a swf that it wanted me to use. I was wondering if there is another approach to this or fi i can open up that swf and get the actionscript needed for my site. Thank you in advance for your help.

you can use php to pass the string the person typed in the flash header to some other non-flash search tool you might want to use.

Not really...
I've only done one search tool in my life, and it was all contained in a single flash only site. And the search tool was very basic (I used no tutorials and just stuck it all together via a basic knowledge of RegExpressions).

is there some way the the swf can be taken apart and the action script can be seen? Coffeecup generated a few files search.txt,search.php,search.xml so if knew the actionscript to but on the button to search it would be cool. what exactly is a php to pass string?
