I have some F8 AS2 (web based) ESL-games that work fine on several computers. I have played them in several places around the world with no issues.
Then I go to show my boss the games and it's just a blank screen. No error message or anything. It just loads the black background and says "Done". Hitting refresh or F5 does the same thing.
Anyone have this problem before? Is there some embed loading Javascript issue going on now?

Not enough info!
Are these games online? A link?
Does your boss have the same platform (Mac or PC) as you? Same OS? Same Flash player browser plug-ins?

Well it's not about them being games, I mean they are ESL learning games/activities/challenges and so on so I don't know why they were moved here. I was thinking it was more about embedding and if something had changed recently with embedding or loading Flash.
They are web based games at http://www.eigoabc.com
It's the actual first index page that won't even load. I don't know if he has the same Flash plugins as I assumed there would be some prompt or error if the plugins were wrong. Everything else is the same because it's a school system with the same PCs running identical OS versions of XP.
I've played the games on several computers at my base school with several students playing at the same time. Then when I try to show my boss at another school they don't work and I look stupid.
The games are all in Japanese so just click the RED icon in the first carousel and then most any color icon in the second carousel. You'll either get one of my cheesy games or a page that says I'm not finished yet.
To be clear, the first carousel page doesn't load. It's just a blank black screen that shows "done" in the status bar. But it works fine on most other computers and gives no error message.

Everything loads fine for me on PC, with IE, FF and Safari...
So I have to assume your boss doesn't have the latest browser plugin players, or something else is wrong with his/her machine...

It loads fine for me on 99% of the other computers I've used.
Is there some setting that will make it either load or give an error? That's all I really want is some acknowledgment that something is wrong.

I think there's some way to show "You do not have the lastest plugin" but I'm not sure how to do it. I've just seen it on some games before and I believe the Adobe website has that feature.

Use the swfObject script to embed your movies, with it's Player detection script...
http://blog.deconcept.com/swfobject/
Or the newest version...

I checked and he has Flash Player 6 which I am assuming causes the problem. I'll try the swfobject and see what that does.
Even if it still wouldn't play, but shows there is some error on his end, that would be fine. I just look like a moron for creating a blank black page.
