hi
I have a question about the smoothing of gif images when scaled... I use a sequence of gif images for a animation and I scale the images to achieve a blurring effect (library settings ==> allow smoothing, compression lossless/png) this all works when exported but when i make my timeline bigger then 1 frame it becomes pixelated... AND I DON'T WANT THIS TO HAPPEN!!!
does anyone know what I did wrong or if this isn't possible?
thanks in advance

I read on Flashkit that gifs are a big no-no for flash.
As for your issue, not to sure....
But try and re-render the animation using PNGs instead of gifs and if that doesn't work, get each frame to hav the blurred effect in photoshop.
I tested the variety of images and flash and found that gifs increased the size ridiculously, but when imported a PNG that was huge on its own, my flash movie was smaller than the png I imported....call me crazy but I swear this happened.

do you know why they are? I use gif because of the low file size in this case...

PNGs will become to big and if I add the blur effect in photoshop file sizes will increase dramatically... I have a sequence of gif images together 56kb, I enlarge the gifs so they will get blurred...

hmm I'll check it out.
thanx anyways
