hi folks at actionscript.org!
Referring to a quite interesting topic in your library-section called saving Xml to a file when used locally ( which reveals that there is a completely undocumented feature of fscommand for standalone projectors: "save") I have a burning question: I tried it on a win2000 PC and it works fine (it's saving some garbage -data too, but I think one could find a workaround for this); but I also tried it on an Apple G4 and it didn't work;
So here is my first question: is this possible on an Apple too or is it just a windows/PC feature?
And now - as you seem to be real cutting edge with flash - my problem:
I am working on a real big multi-platform cd-rom project and it should all be done in flash. Now I need a possibility to save textfiles or Xmlfiles( such as ini-files or savegames) on Mac (on Pc everything works fine; I guess we will use flashwrite 2.0, which is available at http://www.flashtool.de). The guys at apple's developer support center aren't quite sophisticated and couldn't help me at all ( all they did was sending me the macromedia-URL, haha).
Now - time is passing by - and we need a solution for this problem. So maybe you guys could help me out.
This would be real great and I would be HAPPY.
