The incredible 3D Flash Engine! Hi, have you seen this incredible and innovative 3D Engine for Flash? http://www.sophie3d.com
Hmmmmmm, first post is for a product site?
yuk, are you affiliated with sophie3d? I ask becuase I have seen this exact type of post on almost ALL blogs concerning Flash 3D in the last few weeks. ie: "Have you seen this incredible 3d engine for Flash". See it everywhere.
Just curious...
Buy "Sophie 3D Player Pro" for 239,00 euro ($351 dollars). Sophie 3D Player Pro allows you to publish your 3D models without the logo appearing on your 3D scene. It includes Sophie 3D Compressor that can reduce the size of your Wavefront .obj models by about 75%. For example a model file of 1Mb will be compacted to a file of 250Kb.
What is the benefit of your player at 239 Euros/352 Dollars over the other alternatives?
Like SWF3D seems to allow the same features as yours, plus so much more at a comparable price. Plus it has Papervision support and many other features, internal modeling capabilities etc...
Swift 3D v5 = $249

Likewise there are so many others...
1.) Papervsion3D http://blog.papervision3d.org/ (Totally Free)
2.) Sandy3D http://www.flashsandy.org/ (Totally Free)
3.) Away3D http://www.away3d.com/ (Totally Free)
4.) freespin3d - http://www.freespin3d.com/freespin3d/www/readmore.aspx (Seems Free)
5.) Alternativa3D http://alternativaplatform.com/en/alternativa3d/ (Free non-commercial engine)
6.) etc...
So compared to these what are the benefits to yours? How does your product compare concerning features, performance, etc...?
Hi asf8
Swift 3D is not interactive 3D engine but it makes swf videos.
Sandy 3D, away3D, Freespin3D, Alternative 3D all seem too complicated and are programs that can only cope with models with a lower number of polygons and a simple system of rendering for the models.
Papervision 3D, the open source program, also seems too complicated, I just needed a quick and simple way of putting my 3D models into flash without going into the mechanics of the software.
Sophie 3D does that by loading a well known 3D model standard - and the version I have is free, although this means I have to put up with the logo.
Bye
I missed the interactive part. Beside moving the object around with the mouse how do you make it interactive? Can I write some actionscript so you can click on a car door and open it?

:mad::(
I was just responding with a post of discussion/links that proves otherwise to pretty much all of this, I lost the entire post via my browser closing. I dont feel like retyping it now. But I disagree with you on almost all your points ;)
The Sophie 3D Player Pro Licence is for a single domain use only.
So its 239,00 euro ($351 dollars) for every site??
[Stay tuned, if I feel like retyping all what I typed before I lost it]
