getting blink alert for non-active window

Hi guys,

I am making a flash based chat app which runs in a browser.

My Question is if the chat is running in multiple browsers (or in tabs), I want the user to be notified if a message comes in a non-active window (or tab) by giving a blink or something like.

I think, we need to compare the tab with the tab (where message came).

can any body help?
