New Flash Site: Please Give Critics

Hey Fellaz,

This is my first real creation with flash, a first "beta" site so I would like you critics, suggestions etc...about it. I just bought Moock's book ActionScript " The Def Guide" which is great and hope to make efforts to do even better sites.

I have to say I concur entirely with the previous post. Very simple, very clean, and very sexy too. NICE.

things go a lill' to smooth for that to be true
if it is: you're a natural! go!

just some minor remarks:

the small details draw my attention away from the content:
the spinning logo, the continous flashing thumbs in the 'photos' section, you know what i mean
maybe you could change the flashes into slow fading, just an idea

in the photos section, the first things to appear are 3 little images at the bottom
i don't think i'm a fool to see those as thumbnails, so i clicked them - logically, no?
i think you have more then enough space in the zone where the 3 imgs are to put all the thumbs for all photos, would be easier and more fun to navigate than the 4 red buttons and the text links - i think

neway its great work...images are beautiful and well-integrated..site has a nice overall aesthetic. sexy is definitely the right word.

Hey ! Well, if you think so. Thanks everyone for your suggestions. This is very nice from you to have spend time over this.

Well, yeah it is my first site designed in flash. I work with photoshop and dreamweaver to make "html" sites" since 3 years. This site here took me more than three months to get done because at beginning I had no idea of what was an Instance, actionscript and so on. Moock's Definitive Guide to AS is of great help here. It has become my bible . I'm in it befor going to bed and at wake up. Flash is great.: -)

Now, I don't know what I should do with my future knowledge with flash. Continue to learn and build small animations just for the pleasure to develop....be web designer ( I think they are too many very good ones), .....I don't know. I hope also to see your works with flash, it would be a great pleasure for me.

now the truth comes out...just kidding.

as for your future, if you want to design sites do it...you don't have to be an industry leader to make tons of cash, plus freelance work, while often frustrating, offers alot of freedom, both timewise and creatively.

i say, if its fun, why not get paid to do it?

Yep, why not ? Only thing is is that I'm still new to flash and I'm sure there is still much to learn, much to learn from flash developpers like Jesse FlashGuru etc....Web design could be an idea. I have to think about that. For really, I hate working at office. See, the best of best is to be at home in a quiet room with some drink.....and many ashtrays ..lol .flash stresses or passions a lot :-)
