rollover from specific direction

I have an invisible button. When you rollover from the left, it will play a right moving animation. When you rollover from the right, it will play a left moving animation. In other words, the effect of the rollover is different depending on which side of the buton the rollover starts from. Is this possible?

I am an artist, not a programmer. I hope you can understand my need. HELP!

Coool idea!

Place two invisible buttons over your button. One on each side, which will cause the desired effects!
