I couldn't get this to show up correctly under ie 6 SP1. Any suggestions. I like this version better and would like to use this one.

Thanks,

I personally hate it when a website takes control of my web browser and I know alot of people that would just move on if it happened to them...

Don't just show designers because we like the unexpected....

Show the norm and you will find that as soon as the browser starts doing something they don't have control over people get scared and leave....

If you have set a theme, you should run with the theme throughout your site....

::::::::: THE TRAIN THEME ::::::::

is what I think your going with....mmmmmm....

1. Although it looks nice... what is that big chunck of cyrstal doing on top of the train????? It really doesn't have a place there in your theme.... If you like it, why not place an experimental area in your website....

2. When you click onto the buttons and a box comes flying out.... mmmm..... To me that has nothing to relate it to your theme (TRAINS).... Maybe a train could come in with some grafetti as your writing on it... and when the viewer clicks on another button the train takes off and another train comes in showing the next bit of information in grafetti text style... Up to you

Question: Did you scetch out on paper what you site would look like before you started?

Good luck...

Dallas, Thanks for your comments.

The deal with the "browser taking over" is exactly what I am talking about not working.I hate that also. in IE 6.028 and lower it just centers a chromeless window that is 800x600. That is exactly the issue. on SP1 it takes over the screen, I was actually looking for any suggestions on a workaround.

The design is to incorporate different styles of design. not keeping with conventional web design. I had thought about your suggestions before the site design (trains bumping and such.)and decided against it just on the strength that those have already been done to death.

I am a big stickler on site planning and yes we did sketch it out before hand.

Honestly I wasn't looking for other designers to tell me what "they think" is good design or not. I was looking for people to check it in other browsers and let me know if there were any issues.

thanks anyway,
-derek
