Ok, I am trying to get this game to work. I am trying to get it so the first time the dancer goes out the dancers go a random distance (which is on a ruler) and the clock goes a random speed (also having trouble making the clock go smooth) then the second time it gives you another random number and speed- but I can't even get the buttons I made to work let alone do any of the other stuff
can anyone help me do this- I know its kinda easy but I am more an artist than a programmer- HELP! I can't even get the .zip to attach because its too big- so here is the url for it

Hi,
You have ( more than a few) basic problems here.
First off you need to make you graphic symbols into movie clips, secondly you need to give your clips names in the instance panel, telling flash gotoAndPlay.egyptian_dancer(2) will not work if flash cannot find egyptian_dancer.
The code on your button does not need to address the _root as both button and mc are on the _root, your clock will not play as you are trying to tween a group of graphic symbols, Flash will not do this. Finally, you do not need to put a play() action on fr.2 of your animation.
Perhaps you need to read ( or re-read) the help files that ship with Flash.
You may also need to rebuild your file from scratch, because when I made all the alterations as above, it still didn't work, so I have copied and pasted just one button and the dancer into a seperate fla for you so that you can see how it works - best thing is - get one working correctly first and the rest will be easy

Hi,
Can't tell whats happening here, I don't have DreamWeaver, your original doc was in Flash 5.0r6 as is the one I posted back to you. Try this, right ckick on the file, click on properties, it should tell you what sort of doc it is, if it says anything other than Flash5.0r6 click on change and select Flash5 from the drop down, if that doesn't do it, let me know and I will redo the file and publish in a doc of your choosing OK
