firstly did you search the forums for this information? i am sure this question has been asked and likley answered before. at any rate i suppose it depends on your target audience. i did a quick search on Google for "calculating kbps" and came up with endless pages of information...for example http://www.masternewmedia.com/issue15/websitedownloadtime.htm . also when testing your movies, go to View - Bandwidth Profiler. you will find a great deal of information pertaining to you question under the heading Movie. and finally with the Bandwidth Profiler open, go to Debug, here you can change connection speeds to give you a better idea of your users wait time. anyway hope that helps a little.. \
