set depth for FLVPlayback

Working in Flash 8 - Actionscript 2. Trying to set the depth of my FLV Playback so that a menu with Sub-menu items will roll out on top it it. I have tried:
my_FLVPlybk.swapDepths(5)


Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks.
