javaScript / new window problem

Hi there!
I've got this problem, when opening a new window from Flash, using getURL: this is the code which is opening the window
getURL ("javascript:window.open("movieName, windowName, dimensions");");
...and if you try it (by pressing a button to whatch a specic sample on my experimental page, it opens the new window allright, but the original one goes white with "[object]" writen. I've never seen anything like that before, and can't find the reason.
I've checked all that I know, and start to feel out of solution here... Anybody see the problem?

seems be a common problem - try doing a search

also, try using ' ' around the parameters instead of ""

eg

getURL ("java script:window.open('movieName, windowName, dimensions');");
