Hello. I have a few questions about a game I'm gonna be making soon, so here they are:
1. How do I make seprate pages for menus and levels? Should I put them all on the Main timeline, or is there some other way to do this?
2. For making a save file, there's nothing I need to do beforehand, right?
3. When making a level, do I just make a bunch of different parts, then make a symbol to hold them all?
If you can answer these, than thanks.

1. What I like to do is put them in seperate scenes
2. Bepends on what you mean by 'beforehand'
3. This depends on how you want it set up

1. You mean like frame 1 and 2 and so on?
2. I mean before I start the project.
3. Putting them all in one Movie Clip would make scrolling easier, right?

1. No, I mean scenes: (http://www.flashkit.com/tutorials/Getting_Started/Using_Sc-Jessamin-12/index.php)
2. No.
3. It can do, but it's up to you.
1. You could store stuff on different frames of a Level movieclip in the library. You could also have a series of movieclips named Level1, Level2, Level3, etc. and add the corresponding movieclip when you need it. I would probably do the former in AS3 and the latter in AS2.
2. Obviously if you're doing something for the project, then you've started the project. Do you perhaps mean should you do some planning before you start coding? Then, yes, you should.
3. If you are making a game that would benefit from that, then you should do it.

1. Ok. I'll try that. I consider this question answered.
2. Yeah, I mean before coding. What should I do to get ready for save files though?
3. Well, If I can still work it good like that, then that's what I'll do. I consider this question answered.

It depends on what sort of thing you had in mind that you might've needed to do before making a save file.
