problems with disk permissions

I seem to be having a problem with disk permissions between flash and Photoshop both yesterday/ today I was having some real problems with a flash build all worked good then yesterday I built and boom I kept getting security errors and I banged my head off the desk a few dozen times then hit me this morning when I found that the old version I pulled from my public server (which worked there) no longer worked on my development machine. I thought ohhh there must be something wrong with my machine and since I have had problems with permissions before (mostly in photoshop) I figured what the hell I'll I run permissions and sure enough it fixed the problem.

Ok so enough of my ranting has anyone else experienced this problem ?

No, never heard of such thing but it definitely is an interesting one... What do you mean by 'run permissions' and what did you exactly do??? What OS do you use???

I guess I left out a couple of details

I am running mac os 10.5.6. in the utilities folder there is a program called disk utlity and it allows you to restore the permissions on files like who can read write etc to the files on your computer. I ran that to fix the problem. I think it is some how related to running photoshop and flash at the same time particularly if I launch Flash first

I guess you meant the Repair Disk Permissions menu in the Disk Utilities... I honestly do not have read anything that goes with it and Flash... I'm interested to hear more about it from you or anybody else... ;)
