View Full Version : [AS3] Is it possible to decompile components to view their original classes?

I'm picking up on a job that uses the 3D Wall Pro component:

http://www.flashloaded.com/flashcomponents/3dwall/

I must admit I do quite like it! However, a major omission is a decent API reference. The "User Guide" just tells you the basic properties and methods of the component, but does not cover any supporting classes.

Ideally I would like to be able to see the full class hierarchy, so I can look at objects like Wall3DImage that get sent back in ELEMENT_SELECTED events and see what I can do with them!

Is there any way to decompile the component somehow? I've just bought ASV, and wondered what I could do with that.

Cheers,
Dave

Well Action Script Viewer 6 has come to the rescue!

File > Extract Resources > Save all class scripts has rather brilliantly saved all class source files to a directory. All I had to do was publish an .swf with the component in, and it did the rest.

Solved!
