is it possible to select circles ?

Is it possible to select circles instead of rectangle or using the lasso tool ?

I want to select circles from a bitmap to remove them from the center. But I can only select rectangles using the Arrow Selection Tool

I'm not quite sure what you're saying. You can select and cut out whatever you want from a bitmap - some things just might take a bit more precision. If you have converted the bitmap into a vector image you can select different colors when you click on it and delete/ move them. You can use the eraser tool which you can change into a circle or a rectangle.

Edit: Sorry, you mean the box you make when you click and drag the mouse - no you can't change that but there are lots of other ways you can remove the circles from your bitmap. Other than the eraser tool I already mentioned you can use the circle/ oval tool - create the size circle you want, place it over your bitmap, and then delete it, which will also delete whatever the circle was covering.
