Hi, I've JUST finished my last game, a defense game called bunny invasion II (look out for it).
I'm desperate to try making a platform game (in AS 2.0), but I just can't find any good tutorials anywhere.
I've gone through pages of google suggestions, and theyre all pretty awful.
Tuturioized, Actionscript.org, gotoandplay. I've found nothing of much use.
Does anyone know of a platform tutorial that covers art based collision detection, ramps, objects (e.g. - a ball that can be pushed and rolls around realistically).
I've seen great physics in so many flash games, one that comes to mind is Dino Run, The land is hilly, there are rocks you have to jump over, boulders that roll downafter you etc..)
I'm not interested in someone's attempt at recreating Super Mario.
This is alot to ask for, but I am very ambitious :)
Thanks.
