View Full Version : [AS3] Z Change Illusion

I'm making a game where I want to move a ball on the Z-axis (positive direction). What I want is to move the ball on the Z-axis, but it make it appear as it's go straight back (obviously the x,y values aren't changing).

You might need to include more information, such as type of game and what your interpretation of Z axis is. If you mean go diagonal I think you use both X and Y.

I want to make the ball go back on the Z axis, but go straight back and not in perspective; kind of like you would do with scaling by using Thales Thereom ( H/h=(fl+z)/fl ). I know what the Z axis is, and the game is an FPS game where a ball straight back and hit's a target. So what i'm asking, is can you do the same thing with the Z-axis, like you can with Thales Thereom for Scaling?
