If you would please check my site in development. I have three concerns and welcome any suggestions.

http://cdotspace.com/test/ajax/

1) Does the menu animation load completely? There should be 5 items: Welcome, About c., Services, links, contact. Once in the cache it always works OK, but when new I was having an issue but haven't seen it for a while.

2) Can you bookmark and then load that page?

3) Does the browser next/back button work correctly?

If you respond please let me know your OS/browser + version number, etc.

NOTE: I'm not happy with the animation, I'm working on that, I need technical feedback.

(I just now noticed the menu doesn't update when using the browser next/back button, I guess I'll fix that before redoing the animation)

IE 6/Windows XP - Everything works for me.

But I'm a bit stumped as to why you're using flash for the site rather than php or smthng.

IE8 with Windows 7 Beta.

Your site is bugged to hell, no insult. When I click on any button, the site jams, when I mouse over the NavBar before the animation completes, the website jams. Therefore I can do nothing with the site. There is nothing but a blank page on screen (except for the banner and NavBar at the top), and since I can't select or even mouse over anything, the website is virtually pointless.

Sorry if I'm the only one who experiences this problem, if so then I'm being a little harsh and I apologize. Otherwise as it stands, this site is a failure.

On a side note, your animations/design needs A LOT of improving. But the main thing is still the fundamental bugs and flaws in your site.

tango88 - it's just an exercise, I wanted to get HTML>Flash and Flash > HTML communication figured out. I had realized that in the past I had always programmed the Flash but never the AJAX, so I'm correcting that.

kkbbcute - Thank you, very valuable feedback. I did change the nav to be enabled AFTER the animation finishes. I agree about the design, I'm not happy with it either. I'm going to hire a designer to do something. The point of this was to learn AJAX, Flash communication with HTML, etc.

Thanks for helping.

By the way, don't bother hiring a designer, ask people, they'll do it for free, like me, but I'm currently busy with someone else's portfolio site.

Also, add a loading bar to your site.

kkbbcute - OK on the designer. Regarding the loading bar, it has one, didn't it show up? It's a very light Flash file.

Nope, no loading bar whatsoever, just a white screen with a swf that starts after 10secs.

For me, the swf loaded instantly.

For me, the swf loaded instantly.

Now it loads instantaneously. By the way the starting animation is too long and boring, try changing it to something more vibrant and energetic. P.S. I see you haven't got around to getting a designer yet.
