Using Flash CS3:

I have a png, 70 wide 104 high.

I import it and drag onto the stage. However, it is a lot smaller.
To be exact; 16.1 wide and 23.8 high.

Same result with both the png and the symbol that is automatically created with the same name in the library.

What is the cause of this? Is this considered a bug?

Here is the exact image file. When I import this, it's not it's original size:

It may be because of the way you import it. Flash sometimes can be like that. Instead of pressing the import button, you can just drag the file into the library If not try using the import function if you didn't use that.

You may want to check to see if when you manually scale your image up to 70 by 104px, does it pixelate, if it does, it means that something is wrong with your image, as it is of a lower resolution than what you set before you imported your image is. If the image is still nice and sharp, its a Flash bug, you may want to report it to Adobe so future users won't face this problem.

It is actually 72, so that shouldn't be the problem.

I've tried dragging the file in as well, it gives the same result.
When resized to the correct size it looks perfectly fine; no pixelation.

If I right click the png in the library and choose properties, there's a preview window in the upper left. That window displays it in the correct size.

BUG!
