I know this is a very minor thing for most, but I deal with LOOOOTS of flash files every day and I can't seem to figure out the pattern here.
In CS3, When you open 5 files at once (File -> Open -> select the five files together and then hit "Open")
[file1, file2, file3, file4, file5]
... they open in tabs within the flash ide in this order:
[file5, file1, file2, file3, file4]
... by putting the last file first, which I think is a Windows idiocy, not flash. If anyone knows a fix for this in XP Pro, please let me know.
But I digress...
It starts you out on file4... the last one in the row.
[file5, file1, file2, file3, file4]
When you close file4, it pops over to file3... makes perfect sense to me.
[file5, file1, file2, file3]
However, if you start from scratch again... close everything and open the same five files, but then go to file5 as soon as they all open
[file5, file1, file2, file3, file4]
... and close it, flash pops over to file3.
[file1, file2, file3, file4]
What is the pattern? I can't figure out. It's not "last file you touched" or "last file flash opened", or even "next file in the row of tabs"... . This happens all over the place when you have multiple files open and it seems like it's completely random.
I'm smelling more lazy programming on behalf of the adobe team here...
