View Full Version : Input text box problem
I have created a website in flash CS3 which has a simple contact form where the user inputs there details and message etc into input boxes. The website works on a linear motion so pages scroll in and out. All works fine at first until you navigate away from the contact page, then navigate back to it the input boxes dont function anymore and the user cant click into them?
Anyone have any idea what could be causing this?
Thanks
Just been having another look at this, and it seem the first time you view the contact page you can click in the input boxes then after that you cant click in them, but if you press the tab key the cursor goes into the box. this is in Firefox, any ideas?
Anyone got any ideas how to get round this?
Thanks

Firstly, stop bumping the thread and triple posting.
Ignoring that, I don't really understand your problem, if you did everything in Flash, your entire page should refresh whenever you navigate back to the page after navigating away, and it should behave exactly like it did the first time round. Could you clarify what is the real problem here?
Thanks for the reply, yes the ful site is done in flash.
Basically, the site is set up with four pictures on the top in a mc and four blocks of text on the bottom in mc. The contact page has four input boxes. When the bottom mc moves along to the contact blcok of text the user can select each input box and enter their details. On the services page the text box is moved out of view down below and the new text is shown. If you navigate away from the service page the text mc is moved back to the original positin but the input boxes on the contact page can no longer be selected by the user?
Doea that maek sense?

I think I understand your problem but I see no possible reason for it, an input text box will always remain as an input text box. Are you sure you don't have an MC with an onPress/RollOver function over it which is at alpha 0, and your swf is trying to check if you are rolling over the mc instead of the input text box.
