Thanks for the tutorial... It's looking real nice and touches quite intensive material under the hood of the 'preloader'... My 2 cents is that it might be better to actually separate this into two articles to make people understand it better... ;)
Oh, can you please attach the sample file into the CMS and let me know?

I've got an attached .rar file called "ASTutorial 3.0.rar," and that contains all the files needed for the preloader. I've just uploaded a rtf file of the just the actionscript: "Actionscript.rtf".

Looks good. Thanks! Only comment would be that not all users will have RAR, or know what RAR is. I think ZIP is the universal standard, whether inferior or not ;)
