Opening AVI files

Hi all, is there a way you can open an AVI file just but clicking a button?

I have tried using fscommand with a batch file but all that does is open up media player without the file in the queue

I don't know if you're using Vista or not, but that's where I can reproduce this problem 100% of the time so that's why I wrote Fixing the Windows Start Command in Vista (http://www.northcode.com/blog.php/2008/07/28/Fixing-the-Windows-Start-Command-in-Vista) but my solution works equally well for XP and other systems where you're having problems opening files. Check it out, it's free and it works :)

ive downloaded your ncstart but wont open.. im running vista if that helps

Did you read the help? It's a helper tool you call from a BAT file, not something you can just run on its own.
