Sorry if this seems cryptic but I have a question... have any of you been approached by an individual or group asking about "extremely large distribution" Flash elements.... games, banner ads, etc.? This person or group may have contacted you looking for hire and offering cash (or possibly threats), and wanting to develop a large number of seemingly harmless elements with malicious backend functions. They may or may not have presented themselves as authorities. Please respond to this post if you have any information regarding this situation.
If not, please ignore this message...
thanks,
d

If I were you I would ignore them. If they offer cash its most likely a scam, if they offer any other reward its also a scam, and if they threaten you, well, its not like they know where you live and would shoot you dead or anything.
Point is, this type of people deserved to be ignored.:(:(:(
Don't ever develop things, especially malicious things, just because someone randomly asks you to. It might even get you in trouble.

Do they have any proof that they are the authorities? I doubt the authorities would be so free as to go around asking random people to do stuff.

It's quite obvious sometimes. It's like, I'm the police, give me your IC and PIN number for your bank account, or else I'll arrest you! Obviously that's like spam.

I doubt hackers will even be so stupid as to do that. I'm quite sure they will make it at least a little beleivable

Some guy told me that he was the president of Uganda, wherever in Africa that is, and demanded a whole pile of cash in return for his forgiveness (!#@%^! expletives.) So yup, they can be quite dumb at times.
