Export video at runtime

I have tried searching Google for a thread on this but its a pretty impossible search, if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be great.

I am wondering what the best practice is for exporting and saving a video at runtime from Flash. So say I have a animated movieclip in the flash movie how could I encode this to say a mov on the server?
