be sure that the destination is file is not locked or a a locked drive. Also check that the file name is not to long.
I get this when i pull another item into the current file i am working on.
And it refuses to save the document....could the file be corrrupted???? I also get that if i try saving it another another name.
Anythoughts will help

does your file have any slashes (/) in the filename? If so replace them.

Are you trying to run your Flash movie from a CD or another drive that Flash can't write to? It's because when flash publishes a movie it needs to create a .swf in the same directory as your .fla file.
If your .fla is on a CD then it can't do that. Try moving it to your Desktop ... or My Documents. Somewhere where you can normally save files.

Right-click the file, click properties and make sure "read-only" isn't ticked. If it is then uncheck the box.
Did you take it from a CD on to your hard-drive by any chance?
Failing that just save it under a different name and voila!

We've got a copy of Adobe Potatoshop here, so if you want to post it up somewhere I can re-save it for you and see if that makes a difference.
Just out of interest what format is it? Surely not jpeg?

Nope, quite the opposite.
Some graphic formats save additional data along with the raster image but a jpeg is just the image as far as I'm aware.
I'm surprised and intreaged. Was the image created by you or someone you know? If so, what program was used and how big is it?
It would be worth looking at the online tech notes on the MM website for additional info.
Strange one that - still resaving it may solve your problem
